What was it like to spend time outside? Where did you go, what did you do? What did you notice, and did this change over time? How did being present within the world of living beings around you relate to what you have learned in the course?

The life of humanity has never been measured, but there have been many changes in the last year. One such event is the coronavirus pandemic, which forced hundreds of thousands of people to stay home, forgetting about walking in the fresh air. Unfortunately, the reality is that it was an unacceptable luxury to go outside for a long time, although, until recent events, it was taken for granted. Thus, the quarantine reminded people of the charms of the outside world and how vital a sense of unity and community is for humanity.

Spending time outside was beautiful and unforgettable because this feeling was unavailable for a long time. I went for a walk in the parks of my hometown, inhaling the fragrant air with pleasure and feeling the wind playfully stirring my hair. I watched the birds and insect clusters and then fed the pigeons with a specially bought loaf of bread. I was delighted to greet the few people I met, even if they were strangers to me, because I saw the joy on their faces, similar to mine, and therefore felt close to them.

A lot has changed over the past year because isolation has significantly impacted all spheres of human activity and interpersonal relationships. People have become more tolerant and careful of each other and appreciate the world that surrounds us more. We have not always responsibly perceived human society and such things as love and friendship, but recent events have forced many to reconsider their attitude. I believe that people have become more appreciative of the time spent with their loved ones and the opportunity to go somewhere.

The material studied during the course is inextricably linked with the feeling of closeness to the people who surround me. We should not forget that we are all part of the same world, and, therefore, we must treat each other with kindness and understanding. Water walks could unite people and make them one big family that works for the common good. Thus, there is nothing more important for humanity than a sense of togetherness and a common goal to unite even the most diverse people.
