Thus, the materials presented on the issue allow for developing an understanding of the critical problems that relate to the topic and prompt to ask complicated questions, shape relevant discussions, and sharpen the inquiry in this area. Even though there is no consensus, it is imperative to have access to as many resources as possible to inform decision-making and reflect on personal experiences. The materials presented during the course were comprehensive and included both written and recorded information on the topic of sexual harassment, particularly focusing on women.
The stories of women handling sexual harassment and discrimination based on gender illuminated the problem that many consider inappropriate for discussion. For example, there has been a persistent issue of sexual harassment in Hollywood, which was hidden from public attention because of the high ranks of individuals involved. Personally, I remember the news about Harvey Weinstein breaking and feeling anger and disgust not only with the criminal but also with the system itself. It is hard to acknowledge the fact that those with power and influence use their position to victimize others, and there is a lack of mechanisms to prevent them from doing that. The resources from the model shed light on the fact that the topic of sexual harassment should never be covered. Moreover, it is important to listen to victims and discover ways in which harassment and discrimination can be handled.
