Why are drugs classified in the categories they are?

The classification of drugs into categories is conducted according to numerous criteria, and in various countries of the world, the degree of drug evaluation differs. According to Sædder, Brock, Nielsen, Bonnerup, and Lisby, there are “low-risk, medium-risk, and high-risk drugs.” This classification makes it possible to separate medications based on their degree of danger and dosage for a particular treatment plan. The use of drugs from the category of the most dangerous is usually the activity of strict accountability.
