Most of the inadequacies of Ivan’s reign were after the death of his wife when he became paranoid. The greatest failure of Ivan the Terrible was connected with his policy of “Oprichnina,” which led to the prosecution of people, more often innocent. On the other hand, he conquered several states and included non-Slavic nations in the empire.
