Discovering the intersection of gender and alcohol consumption deepened my knowledge about contributing factors to deviant behaviors. It was interesting to learn that in pursuit of sexual satisfaction and social approval, people may resort to alcohol consumption and that it aids them in attaining their goals. Lanza-Kaduce et al. also provided an example of peer pressure about which I would not think before reading the article.
