Amazon owns 49% of the total share of U.S e-commerce, whereas eBay owns only 6.6% of the share from e-commerce. The competition from Amazon and other Chinese online markets poses a challenge to the company’s growth. eBay is eradicating fraudulent transactions by authenticating its clients’ counterfeit goods. The sellers are free to pay for their goods’ authentication; this creates a good impression on buyers who gain trust in the company. eBay focuses on competing with other companies by adopting digital systems such as the use of Al in the transaction processes and delivery of goods. The company is intensifying advertisements through social media to attract more clients.

The solutions eBay seeks to implement are good because they will make business transactions happen effectively, making the clients satisfied with the services. The solutions will attract more customers to enable the company to compete favorably with other e-commerce giants such as Amazon and Alibaba. eBay should also consider selling goods slightly lower than other developed e-commerce companies; such a solution will also help the company advance due to the large number of clients it will attract.
