How would one characterize Morse’s concerns as paranoid?

Morse’s concerns may be classified as paranoid because of the excessive suspicions and his tendency to notice conspiracy everywhere. Particularly, he is worried lest immigrants should put democracy under threat. Also, he is afraid of the danger of re-action from Europe. Therefore, Morse demands every action or person he deems suspicious to be thoroughly checked and analyzed.
