On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), commonly referred to as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or ObamaCare. The Affordable Care Act was the largest and most consistent piece of legislation in the last half-century. This event continued the line of creating a strong healthcare system, even though the law seemed complicated at first.
