Before the Abbasids project, medicine, coupled with law, were the key areas for which a special budget and scholarships were allocated. During the Abbasid period, these industries significantly expanded and improved. They also included natural and exact sciences, such as chemistry, biology, mathematics, astronomy, and others. These were some of the best times when science and exact knowledge flourished and reached new heights.
