I have selected this well-researched Journal of Health Psychology on the topic, “I Think That It’s a Pain in the Ass That I Have to Stand Outside in the Cold and Have a Cigarette’: Representations of Smoking and Experiences of Disapproval in UK and Greek Smokers.” In Greece and the UK, the smokers are discouraged and disapproved by the social and traditional set-up of the public according to their own specific social norms. When a group of smokers from the UK and Greece were undergone different experiments by the researchers, they concluded that the sensitive smokers accepted disapproval of those people who are close to them rather than the common people.
