As a Christian, I believe that God is in His Trinity form; He is good, infinite, omnipotent, transcendent, and sovereign. It means that He is the source of all good, and by understanding Him, a person understands what good is. He is transcendent, and people cannot perceive Him directly, despite being able to experience His revelations by their inner senses. God’s omnipotence and sovereignty mean that He is concerned with everything and connected with everything.
God is personal for everyone, and everybody perceives Him on their own. It explains why there are such different views on religions and spirituality. In my opinion, religious strifes are useless because there are as many religious views as people on Earth; as the conflicts lead to sufferings, they are against God as the infinite good. I am a Christian, but I will never impose my faith on anybody. I believe that this is wrong at the core; in addition, my belief is deeplypersonal, and I do not see any necessity in trying to impose it.
I believe that there is much more than our material world, but we cannot perceive it directly. Still, with the development of our inner feeling, we can perceive the world much deeper than just with our senses. By developing it, using meditations, prayers to God, and living a sincere and virtuous life, we can feel traces of other worlds created by God. The reality is infinite, the number of possible worlds is infinite too, and humans can perceive only a fraction of them.
The main thing about people is that we are God’s creations, and we have the elements of God in ourselves: it is our consciousness. I think that the primary purpose of human life is to know God and that there are many ways to dothis. The person can be not Christian, but Muslim, Hindu, or even pagan or atheist, but still, they all are on the way to comprehension of God. Christians too can have different opinions about understanding God, but they agree that God has triune nature, is omnipotent, created the universe, and can be known. In my opinion, while being Christian, it is helpful to study other religions, to know other ways to God.
Scientific progress is one of the examples of human thought in its development. Humanity invented technologies that could solve starvation, misery, poverty, and other global problems. New measuring devices enable people to see things invisible by the eye, such as radio waves and even use them for technologies such as television. Scientific methods use logic to deal with reality based on recorded evidence and experiments. I accept science and respect it; however, I think that science is not enough. Religion and science are two distinct elements of the worldview.
