There are both advantages and detriments regarding the use of personality tests for HR. On one side, testing has the capacity to better align individuals with the values of the organization, or contribute toward creating productive team dynamics. Alternatively, personality tests do not offer significant insight into a person’s ability to perform their duties, or their actual professional strengths and weaknesses.
