Non-Americans are sometimes accorded a high status within the USA if they are perceived to be of foreign descent. While people of color born in America are blocked from accessing some facilities, the same may be highly respected if they dress and talk like foreigners.

An example is given of a man who benefitted greatly by applying a Swedish accent and putting on a Turban, although he was Jamaican. Therefore colored persons may gain favors not accorded to Native Americans just by proving to be non-American.
