In diverse families, the process of helping children to develop literacy may be complicated with internal factors related to the family and its characteristics. For example, the difference in languages will not allow teachers to explain to parents fully how to promote early literacy development in their children. However, the presence of two unique sources of knowledge acquisition, namely, the culture of their family and the school environment, will cause such students to develop a unique multicultural perspective on their academic process and gain knowledge faster. Therefore, the diverse backgrounds of learners can be used for their benefit.
