The Civil Rights Acts would have a tremendous impact on minority groups. They have banned discriminatory practices as applied to people belonging to different races, religions, nationalities, and sexes. Oppression was prohibited across all educational institutions, workplaces, and public accommodations. Therefore, it may be stated that the Acts have served as initiatives aimed at protecting groups of people who have been suffering from various forms of discrimination and inequality.
Moreover, the policies of 1964 were a basis for the fracturing of activists but not in a negative way. They provided an opportunity for women to liberate themselves and protect their rights. Women were able to bring forward their desires and fundamental rights for engaging in the same range of activities as the representatives of the opposite sex did. In that matter, women were not regarded as a minority group but a part of society residing on the continent that wanted to achieve equal rights in politics, employment, and education. Apart from that, females secured their right to control their bodies through birth control.
