Bernice thought that by being a member of the wealthy class, she could have many privileges, but she was bound to some other unfavorable rules. The aspects of Bernice’s femininity are evident when the basis of her inherited position, and she cherishes values defined by her class and follows the tips she was given by her mother even though in one occurrence during her visit to the cousin, she changed little.
Marjorie’s femininity is apparent when she claims to promote Bernice through the tips she gives her. The center of the recommendations was when she advised her to look appealing to gain popularity among boys.
