While we cannot avoid sin since we are related to Adam, Paul argues that every one of us is our own Adam or Eve, intentionally turning away from God. In his discourse, mankind bears responsibility for misdeeds, even if it is powerless to prevent them. Paul is alluding to the metaphorical account of Adam and Eve, which is about comprehending what it means to be a part of mankind and to end the connection with God, invoking the allegorical meaning of Scripture. Paul takes it for granted that individuals make decisions and are accountable for them.
Paul’s reasoning makes it apparent that sin was followed by death. First, God slaughtered the animal in order to provide clothing for Adam and Eve, who were naked as a result of their sin. Adam and Eve were removed from the Eden gardens and began to perish physically as a result of their separation from God. They reincarnated as mortal beings with finite lifecycles, passing on their guilt to their descendants. As a result, everyone who was born into this earth is a sinner who will die.
Because everyone had sinned, everyone faced God’s judgment and the same fate: condemnation, according to Paul. At the same time, one’ righteous conduct’ gives everyone in the world the opportunity to be justified (for example, the death of Christ). Only trust in Christ is sufficient for salvation, according to Paul. The concept of justification can be thought of as the polar opposite of sin. According to Paul, being justified might imply a shift from a negative to a positive attitude toward God.
He also distinguishes between justification by law and justification by faith, yet justification by faith alone is his major focus. Paul claims that Jesus conveyed what he accomplished to us via three events: his death for our sins, burial, and resurrection. For example, mankind acquired a new life as a result of Christ’s resurrection, in which it is no longer chained and slave to its sin.
