A quasi-military-style police department is the best way to control crime because it is strict and authoritative, and it encourages the spirit of the police. Quasi-military organizations are similar to military organizations, which means that discipline and order are vital there. A quasi-military framework does not exclude innovation and creativity from its practice. On the contrary, innovation is highly valued and encouraged in quasi-military organizations. Having rank designations is also not bad because almost all organizations have some form of hierarchy. When the police officers have different ranks, they are more organized and disciplined, and they always have an incentive to grow.
Finally, when officers are trained like soldiers, they perform their duties better than those who perceive the job of a police officer only as a job, not as a duty. Such officers will not be afraid of sacrificing their lives to save other people’s lives because protecting human lives is their main goal.
