In the context of current world politics, Russia and Ukraine are locked in a game of chicken to witness who will blink first. On one side, Russia wants to keep Ukraine firmly within its sphere of influence, while on the other side, Ukraine wants to break away from Russian control and forge closer ties with Europe. So far, neither side has shown any willingness to back down, which has resulted in a fatal fight.
