Beginning with strengths, the Delios and Singh article “Mastering Business in Asia: Strategy for Success in Asia” makes very clear points regarding the misconceptions that exist around the world as far as the people of Asia are concerned. For example, the myths of Asians being hardworking and trustworthy are debunked by convincing explanations of long hours to increase earnings and the illiteracy that set the ground for lack of contracts, a practice that has carried on into the modern world.

The article also makes clear the fact that the business culture in Asia is not uniform. This is true for other cultural aspects as well. The article is also clear that the western world is different from the Asian world. On the other hand, the denial of a connection between culture and business in strong terms makes the article sound absolute. This is not necessarily true since culture affects business in many ways in many settings.
