Choose one of your fundamental beliefs that you have not thought much about and write an argument defending it or rejecting it. Be careful not to use any logical fallacies.

A fundamental belief I never thought much about is the one that people have no power to change an unpleasant situation they are currently experiencing. Very often, people complain about their lives and find a million reasons why they cannot change anything. They blame the external causes, but the only factor holding them back is themselves. It is a very dangerous limiting belief that keeps people in their comfort zones and helps them justify their unwillingness to work hard and look for ways out.

Many healthy people are working in low-paid jobs and complaining about the unfair economy. However, there are also people Nick Vujicic who was born with tetra-amelia syndrome – a rare genetic disease characterized by the absence of all limbs. Nevertheless, he is happily married and travels around the world as a motivational speaker. Since there are people that can achieve extraordinary results despite the worst limitations, I reject this belief as absolutely not true.
