Considering the elements of intervention research, the stages of the intervention design should be considered in detail. The first stage is the rationale for intervention where a burning problem is presented. The second stage is the rationale for the proposed study presented in the form of a literature review with the identification of the best practice. The third stage is the research purpose statement. Next, stating the achievement target, which involves population sample, intervention design, measures, and data analysis. Then research results follow. And finally, the recommendations section applies all the considered knowledge into practical pieces of advice for research results utilization (CDCP, n.d.).
Using intervention research as a model for the experiment, one should know that there are several types of intervention research, starting with true experimental and finishing with non-experimental and even quasi-experimental. No matter which type of intervention research is chosen, an experimental group (which receives an intervention) and a control group (which not) are the main elements of the intervention design. A control group may be influenced by a common program or not affected at all, depending on the main idea of the intervention research.
