Computer hardware or software resources start contributing towards the first implementation phase of the SDLC which concerns the criteria set by companies in evaluating and selecting the resources. However, hardware is determined by fully functional servers that support small, medium, and large businesses with a full variety of storage options. Now it depends upon the size of the application that the customer selects to be implemented.
Computer hardware serves as a physical design of the IS and involves those factors supporting complex interactive systems design, that developers find appropriate to consider the situation the various types of users may experience different roles defined by characteristic tasks, each of which, by definition, need different knowledge to apply the system for their own work.
Typical hardware evaluation factors include performance specifications in accordance with the speed, storage capacity, and the quality of input, operational cost is considered, reliability counts that give rise to the probability of malfunctioning application, maintenance requirements, and error control. Other technical evaluation factors include the ratio of compatibility with other hardware resources, and the future cost and time it would take to upgrade the hardware processing.
