Violating a Social Norm in a Public Setting

Choose and violate a social norm in a public setting and report on the experience.

Conditions, such as time, place, and audience, may be varied. Close attention should be paid to the reactions of both yourself and others. Define the norm you will violate. What is the range of possible reactions that you think may come from the observers of the violation? How did people react? Did reactions vary by location, time, and characteristics of witnesses? Explain and provide an example of the relativity of deviance.
