I would hardly call myself a spiritual person in a sense described in “Things Fall Apart” – such traditions have mostly faded away in modern society. However, I still find a peculiar spiritual inspiration in thunder and lightning. This weather condition fills me with creative energy, and I feel invigorated by the sound of the falling rain. Sometimes, this connection fascinates me; I try to solve the mystery but rarely find plausible answers.

Perhaps this is an echo of long-gone times, when our distant ancestors worshipped nature, as their lives depended greatly on it. The drought could lead to poor harvest and famine, so the rain symbolized life and hope. Regardless of the reasons, the sight of the lightning strike grants me confidence; my mind becomes sharp and focused. When clouds gather in the sky, I experience an almost tangible sense of joy. After all, it seems that myths and spirits can affect even those who do not have a strong affinity with spiritual matters.
