The World Trade Organization (WTO) is a global organization that oversees trade between nations.

It ensures that member countries adhere to the rules and regulations for free trade established by the organization, brokers and helps negotiate trade deals between the states, settles arising disputes, and reviews national trade policies.

It consists of 164 nations that account for the majority of the world trade and is governed by the Ministerial Conference composed of the representatives of all member-states.
