At the beginning of the 20th century, scientists offered the endosymbiotic theory, according to which all organelles (chloroplasts and mitochondria) resulted in an early endosymbiosis between cells. To support the same approach, the concept of microspheres was introduced, proving the creation of the first protocell out of proteinoids and water.

However, the order of things that occurred for life to exist should also touch upon such elements as RNA (more than 4 billion years ago, a simple RNA copied itself) and a cell (emerged as a result of evolutionary development about 3.8 billion years ago). Then, oxygen was produced about 2.8 billion years ago, and sexual reproduction was traced back to prokaryotes two billion years ago. Multicellular life forms emerged as single-cell organisms about 1.5 billion years ago.
