The symptoms of right-sided weakness and aphasia indicate an ischemic stroke in the brain’s left hemisphere. Such symptoms also indicate middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion. The speech and language of the brain are most commonly affected when the stroke occurs in the left hemisphere.
