Aspects of Creating Learning Objectives

Develop 3-4 smart learning objectives detailing the knowledge, skills, or behaviors that the target population will acquire (need to know) from the educational intervention that you are developing.

For each objective, including the method of evaluation (i.e., how are you going to measure the change?) How will you determine that the objective has been met? Define the method you will be used for determining whether the patients meet the learning objectives. Patient achievement of the learning objectives is the basis for evaluating the effectiveness of the education intervention. Consider using any of the methods or a combination of these methods to determine whether patients have accomplished the objectives. Provide a summary explaining your rationale for choosing each of the learning objectives and how each will be evaluated.
