You happen to be in the courthouse during the trial of some of the members of the gun advocacy group. As you walk by the chambers of the judge who is presiding over the trial, you overhear the judge and the chief prosecutor discussing the case. The judge is talking about one of the defendants in the case and is making some very derogatory comments. You’ve often appeared in trials before this judge, and you’ve always found him to be fair and impartial. In this case, however, you’re concerned that the judge and prosecutor may be engaging in inappropriate activity. This situation is particularly troublesome because the trial is proceeding at the request of all parties as a bench trial, with the decision being rendered by the judge without the benefit of a jury. What would you do? Explain your answer.

Normally, police officers ensure cooperation between all agencies of the legal system. Negligence of such a responsibility equals an obstruction of justice. Judiciary dispenses equity and enhances its cooperation with all agencies in upholding the rule of law. This is the reason why if I have a complaint about a judge on an ongoing case, the complaints are lodged after the occurrence’s determination.

I will wait for the ongoing case’s determination and then lodge my complaints with the court’s clerk’s office against the particular magistrate. I will register the grievances because of my obligation to cooperate with all legal agencies to pursue justice for all defendants and the jurist. On the other hand, confidentiality as a principle may not be upheld even if the sheriff delivers a fair trial because the Law Lord has talked about an exposition before a court of law. Whichever way the case is determined, the magistrate shall have committed a crime by giving an opinion about a defendant.

Lastly, I understand the judiciary as the interpreter of a constitution and, therefore, cannot be ignored in the criminal justice system. All complaints against any judge are always filed through the office of the clerk of the same court. Filing a complaint on any judge acting on an ongoing case is tantamount to obstructing justice. Undoubtedly, I will be performing against the ethics of upholding the law.
