The initial response to the information offered in the interview was that one of shock. The fact that the current farm loan system thrives on prejudices is deeply appalling and inherently unjust is beyond appalling. It is necessary to counteract the present principles according to which farming issues are managed. The described situation calls for revisiting the existing financial policy, as well as imposing rigid control over the choices made by banks. Thus, the instances of prejudices against African American farmers will be minimized, and the problem of poverty, inability to purchase the land and other concerns will be partially resolved. Upon further contemplation about the issue, one will realize that it might need to take more than several rapid changes to the current legislation to address the injustice in the farming industry. The issue of discrimination runs deep in the target environment. However, by changing people’s perception of the issue, alterations in its management will become possible.
