The vast majority of beliefs do not support the ideas of violence in their manifests, and they tend to bestow the act of humility with extraordinary power. Throughout world history, there have always been people who found the power in the reign and authority and those who looked for salvation in the Highest. According to Laozi, the key to wisdom lies in tranquillity rather than in action, so any drastic move reduces one’s ability to embrace pure wisdom. The aforementioned concept of tranquillity and humility has little in common with Spaniards’ policy towards other nations, so it would be fair to say that such a pattern of behavior would not find support in Laozi’s philosophy.
