Why is S. Typhimurium more invasive than the E. coli species?

After adhesion, S. Typhimurium on the host M cell injects at least 12 effectors whose function is to trigger the update of the bacteria in the host cell. The first proteins, Sip A and C, are transferred through the T3SS of the M cell. Once inside the cell, Sip C localizes to the plasma membrane and helps in the translocation of all the other effectors and the initiation of actin nucleation. All these factors and features are absent in E. coli, which explains why it is less invasive when compared with S. Typhimurium.
