Why is it important that the executive team fully understand how employee engagement is linked to successful business outcomes?

The stance that the executive team takes when approaching the management of employee engagement levels affects the degree to which employees can be invested in the company’s philosophy and general performance. An executive team of HR managers has to understand the underpinnings of the notion of employee engagement in order to bring the levels thereof up in the setting of Etisalat. When exploring the problem of the current frameworks for handling employee engagement-related concerns at Etisalat, one will have to point to the lack of understanding of the drivers behind the engagement of staff members. Although financial incentives also play a critical role in shaping staff’s enthusiasm and performance levels, the necessity to establish a cross-cultural conversation that will accommodate the needs of every participant is the main concern currently. An innovative HRM approach, in turn, will have to present a solution to the problem of low engagement levels and the absence of enthusiasm in employees. The introduction of a reciprocal dialogue that will inform managers about the difficulties that staff members have with the new arrangement of roles and responsibilities will help to alleviate the negative impacts of the problems in operational management that have affected the rates of employee engagement.
