Slow transfer of data and disk access may be experienced due to processing a high amount of data that may exceed the main memory. Poor scalability may also arise between the service and the user if a device hits its network capacity limits. To solve scalability challenges, ONOS builds a control platform for service providers. It also supports multiple protocols that communicate with different devices at the southbound interface.
