Geography is vital to the study of history since it allows analysing various events in greater depth. Geography is a rather broad subject that enables people to understand the forces shaping lives in a particular region. For example, geography covers climate, which is essential to explaining the development of agriculture and trade in specific locations. Geography also helps to establish links between different locations by identifying their characteristics. This is particularly important when studying events that affected more than one geographical area, as it assists in explaining the impact. Moreover, geography is essential for studying history because it provides a way of representing and imagining events graphically. This, in turn, is essential for re-creating a sequence of events logically.
