It is essential for a government to regulate the retail sector because it has a significant impact on the overall economy of a country. The aim of any government representative in the economic sphere is to protect and ensure the growth perspectives for local businesses. In a search for benefits for their economies, governments impose such demands as local suppliers, employment of community residents, or charity to ensure that a country wins from the international cooperation. Therefore, their primary interest is to impose restrictions on the foreign entities so that they benefit the local economy and do not overrun the market.
