Why do human beings not reproduce but procreate?

Reproduction occurs as a result of fertilization, which is a natural and mindless process in mammals that allows them to continue to exist. The unity between humans is way more complex and involves different layers. The co-existence of the physical and the spiritual, as well as the intent and the desire to initiate the creation of new life, is what separates procreation from reproduction.
