Hiding the real personality behind the screen of public appearance is a central theme. The public Kane is a powerful tycoon. The real Kane is an unhappy narcissistic person. The lost childhood made the man resentful. The scenes at the beginning and the end of the movie explain it. Kane pronounces the word “Rosebud” before he dies. As a child, the man loved to play with a sled. The mysterious word “Rosebud” is the name of this sled.
