The most preferred and comfortable model of addiction is the sociocultural model. The main reason is that humans are social animals. Thus, most of the habits and behavioral patterns are derived from surrounding people. Among the possible socio-psychological and sociocultural reasons in world literature, several factors are considered, such as a person’s desire to get away from real problems into subjective pleasant sensations to change their internal state. These concepts also include emotional dissatisfaction with the current life, disruption of intergenerational communication, youth protesting against existing norms, curiosity, and imitation. Other possible factors are lack of awareness of the effects of anesthesia, preliminary addiction to alcohol, and carelessness of a doctor when prescribing a drug for medical reasons.
