Although the Notting Hill Carnival has been successful within the past 40 years, the evidence reveals that the number of participants has declined significantly in the recent past. This is the case because only 600,000 attended the event in 2003. This fact is a clear indication that the street party is currently in the “decline” stage. This phase of the life cycle occurs when sales or profits from a specific service or product begin to fall. The number of attendees has started to shrink. This has also been the same case for the revenues gained from this event. As numerous changes experienced in the world today, this event should be reenergized or redesigned in order to make it relevant and attract more participants. Since this carnival depicts the true image or nature of the country’s society, there is a need for different professionals and experts to support it. This strategy will ensure that it does not collapse.
