What pros and cons do you see in managers following Netflix’s practice of being radically honest about their employees’ performance?

The central positive aspect of radical honesty is giving direct feedback to the employees on their performance and advising them on how they can succeed. This culture promotes speaking up when a problem is detected and judging even the performance of the superiors. This approach’s efficiency was proven when the company had to fire a third of its employees, but the remaining most talented ones could do the work even faster than it was done before. However, the negative sides of radical honesty are also evident. They include the possibility of offending some employees and making them feel shame, especially those who are more emotionally vulnerable.
