Institutional logics is one of the central aspects of the functioning of any corporation or organisation. It could be determined as specific social perceptions showing a common understanding of the existing, legitimate goals and how they can be achieved. At the same time, a single organisation might incorporate multiple institutional logics, which might result in the appearance of particular conflicts within this very unit. It means that dealing with several institutional logics can be challenging because of the high risk of the emergence of multiple problematic concerns and tensions between employees. Thus, investigating Los Andes, the authors identify the focus on long-term operational success as one of the first types of institutional logics. It emerged in the course of the company`s evolution and due to its basic goals and vision. Another aspect could be described as the focus on hiring individuals without work experience for them to adapt to new conditions better. Finally, bureaucracy and hierarchy were also identified as other aspects of institutional logic that impact the evolution of the organisation and might precondition the appearance of multiple conflicts between workers.
