According to NASA’s satellite observation, sea levels have been rising at an increasing rate over the past 25 years. Sea level rise is currently 0.13 inches (3.4 millimeters) per year today.
A possible reason for the acceleration of the process is the melting of ice in Greenland and Antarctica. In the 1990s, world sea levels rose by 0.1 inches per year. Therefore, scientists are concerned about the accelerating pace of this process due to global warming.
