Anomie in criminological theory is treated as the person’s inability to choose lawful activities over crime. It is usually caused by the social push that corners the criminal and severely harms their mental state.
As a result, people think that the only way to gain prosperity is illegal. Economic and social factors are usually the cause of such a situation. Criminals consider their status unlawful during the lack of development of particular social institutes such as family and education.
