What is mixed methods research? Give an example of how you might use this approach.

Mixed-methods research refers to the methodology for conducting studies that deal with both quantitative and qualitative data. This approach to research is implemented when the integration of different forms of data to have a better understanding of a research problem from different perspectives. For example, quantitative data is necessary to measure the general attitudes of a population toward a certain phenomenon. Qualitative data will support quantitative findings by providing the analysis of interviews or observations associated with the phenomenon studied in the quantitative section.
