Hospers claims that being a free person does not necessarily be free to commit evil things. Developing the dialogue between two advocates of the opposite viewpoints, Hospers shows that there exist certain general limitations for the human people. For instance, nobody would object that people are not free to fly like a bird or eat stones and sticks. However, as Hospers says, they can do many other things. Hospers claims that God created people as moral creatures with a possibility for them to be free even without causing harm to each other. In fact, this moral limitation does not prevent people from being naturally free.
