Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) analysis refers to the examination of how the protein interacts with DNA. The basic principle behind this technique is that combining ChIP with massively parallel DNA sequencing allows the researcher to find DNS-associated proteins’ binding sites. Choi et al. (2017) exploit this idea in their study by employing ChIP-chip analysis to identify numerous Zur-binding sites and the zinc-dependent gene in those locations.
