Apple Inc.’s organizational structure is hierarchical, with the CEO, Tim Cook, helped by vice presidents in various sectors. The CEO is the main decision-maker of the company, and therefore this person is responsible for making direct decisions. Unfortunately, the organizational structure of Apple Inc. has a functional matrix that is weak and has divisional characteristics.

Advantages:

Increased accountability
Employees understand their responsibilities.

Disadvantages:

Slow decision-making process
Delayed communication.
