One of the most pressing social problems facing America throughout the term of the last five presidents and today is an extreme level of bipartisanship and political polarization. It affects all citizens and leads to a high level of societal stress and anxiety. The role of the government is to design effective measures to allow new parties to enter the race for power and be able to get political exposure.

At the macro level, such an approach will bring more diversity of opinions, and at the micro-level, citizens will be able to adhere to their views and not vote to dismiss the opposing party. It is stated that exposure of individuals to political aspects of social media can lead to political polarization, which is relevant in the current case of extreme bipartisanship. My views were shaped by the fact that large social media companies such as Twitter possess the power to influence public opinion.
